ENGK AD 2.20  Local aerodrome regulations

1  AD availability
1.1 AD approved for:
  • VFR operations in daylight and darkness,

  • IFR operations.

Note: AD is approved for CAT I operations but not CAT II or III operations.

1.2 Prior permission required. This can be obtained at www.myppr.no
1.3 IFR TFC is only allowed when AFIS is provided.
1.4 Commercial air transport is not allowed.
1.5 AD may not be used by ACFT with a maximum take-off mass exceeding 5700 KG or is certified for more than 9 passengers.

ENGK AD 2.21  Noise abatement procedures

1  General
1.1 Climb on RWY HDG to 1000 FT AMSL before commencing turn.
1.2 Flights shall be avoided 1000-1200 UTC on SUN and HOL, as well as New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Whit Sunday and Christmas Day
1.3 TGL shall be avoided 2000 - 0600, as well as 0600 - 1300 on SUN, HOL, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Whit Sunday and Christmas Day.
1.4 When ATS is provided, AFIS unit must be informed before commencing of taxiing.
2  Engine testing area
2.1 Engine testing above idle shall be coordinated with ATS.
2.2 Engine testing (“Run up”) before departure shall be performed before entry of RWY.

ENGK AD 2.22  Flight Procedures

1  Arrival procedures VFR
1.1 Enter via one of the VFR reporting points published in AD 2 ENGK 6-1.
1.2 Within Gullknapp TIZ two-way radio communication with “Gullknapp Information” shall be established.
1.3 If Gullknapp Information is not OPR, follow “Arrival procedures for VFR outside published HR of OPR”.
2  Arrival procedures VFR outside published HR of OPR
2.1 The following procedures apply for VFR approach RWY 05/23:
  1. Transmit blind when entering the area via the published VFR points.

  2. Fly overhead at 2000 FT to check wind direction, runway conditions and traffic in progress at the RWY, surrounding area or airspace. State intentions before descending to traffic pattern altitude, taking other traffic into consideration.

  3. Space up with other traffic, if any, and enter traffic pattern at 1500 FT

  4. While approach is performed, transmit blind on downwind, base and final (applies to both RWY directions)

  5. Left circuit at 1500 FT is standard, but right circuit or direct to final may be performed if this does not endanger other TFC. Avoid crossing the extended CL within
    2 NM from AD.

3  Radio communication failure when flying VFR in TIZ
3.1 If experiencing radio communication failure when flying VFR in TIZ, within ATS HR of OPR:
  1. Squawk 7600.

  2. If possible, call ATS 37 40 77 00.

  3. Hold SE of field at 1000 FT.

  4. Watch TWR for visual signals.

4  Low visibility procedures
4.1 If visibility is below 800 M or RVR is below 550 M no aircraft operations are permitted.

ENGK AD 2.23  Additional Information

1  Construction work
1.1 Temporary construction work takes place at, or in the vicinity of, the RWY. Always check NOTAM for the latest information and/or contact AD administration.
2  Warning
2.1 Animals may occur at the aerodrome. Pilot-in-command is responsible for ensuring that RWY is ready before take-off and landing.
3  Approach and runway lights
3.1 The light intensity for high intensity APCH LGT is adjustable in
5 stages, intensity 1 - 3 - 10 - 30 - 100 %, REF AD 1.1.
3.2 The light intensity for PAPI, aiming point, THR, RWY CL, RWY edge and RWY end LGT is adjustable in 5 stages,
intensity 1 - 3 - 10 - 30 - 100 %, REF AD 1.1.
