ENNO AD 2.20  Local aerodrome regulations

1  AD availability
1.1 AD approved for:
  • VFR operations in daylight and darkness,

  • IFR operations.

Note: AD is not approved for CAT I, II or III operations.

1.2 AD may not be used by ACFT with a maximum take-off mass exceeding 5 700 KG or is certified for more than 9 passengers.
1.3 AD may not be used by ACFT with higher code letter than B without permission from the Norwegian CAA.
1.4 ACFT OPER are not allowed when visibility is below 800 M.

2  IFR-trafikk
2.1 IFR operations to / from the airport is only allowed within when AFIS is provided, REF BSL D 1-2.
3  Semsøyene Nature Reserve
3.1 Avoid overflights that can cause bothersome noise.
3.2 Engine use within the nature reserve shall be avoided.
3.3 Sea taxiing within the wet lands area is prohibited.
4  Seaplane base
4.1 Operational data regarding use of the Notodden seaplane base is available via the aerodrome’s website, see “Bruk av flyplassen”.
4.2 Users of Notodden seaplane base are required to acquaint themselves with the applicable provisions for order and movements, defined in “Håndbok for Notodden Sjøflyhavn”; as well as the Regulations regarding Semsøyene Nature Reserve (Norwegian version only. Contact TWR for details).

ENNO AD 2.21  Noise abatement procedures

1  General
1.1 Circuit TFC for training purpose not allowed on public holidays.
2  Engine testing area
2.1 Engine testing beyond idle power to be performed on area assigned by AFIS.

ENNO AD 2.22  Flight Procedures

1  Radio communication failure
1.1 If experiencing radio communication failure when flying VFR in TIZ (REF AD 2 ENNO 6 - 1)
  1. Squawk 7600,

  2. ACFT to keep clear of other TFC and to proceed directly to HLDG point,

  3. Enter holding 1,5 NM S of AD at 1500 FT,

  4. Flash LDG LGT,

  5. Watch TWR for visual signals

2  General
2.1 Arriving and departing VFR-flights shall proceed via one of the following points:
  1. Meheia

  2. Nautesund bridge

  3. Sauland

  4. Follsjø

  5. Lifjell

All flights shall report to Notodden Information when passing these points.

2.2 Except as prescribed for instrument approaches, all circling in connection with take-off and landing shall take place SW of the Aerodrome, i.e. make all turns to the right when approaching for landing on RWY 12 and after taking off from RWY 12.
2.3 When landing on RWY 12, the crossing road in front of THR shall be passed at 70 FT AGL or higher due to road traffic.
2.4 Extended runway length including 633 M in front of THR 12, totalling 1393 M, is available O/R to the AFIS-unit within the hours of service of the unit. Extended runway length only to be used when AFIS is provided.
3  Special phraseology
3.1 When extended RWY in use, the phrase “LONG RWY FREE” will be used for arrival and departure instruction.

ENNO AD 2.23  Additional Information

1  Special requirements for operators performing commercial transportation into Notodden airport
1.1 The operator shall stipulate special crew qualification requirements (Cat B, REF EASA AMC1 ORO.FC.105).
1.2 Departure procedures, take-off minima, take-off weight limitations shall be documented.
1.3 The aircraft operator shall document fulfilment of the requirements above to CAA Norway at least 14 days prior to commencing operations. CAA Norway will, after evaluating the documentation and finding it adequate, issue a letter of compliance. A copy of this letter has to be carried by the crew and presented to local airport authorities or representatives of CAA Norway on request.
2  Glider activity
2.1 Beware seasonal high level of glider activity at the aerodrome and within Notodden TIZ.
